Producing the electrical current required to operate a Hydrogenator, or any other hydrogen retrofit will cause your vehicle alternator to draw power from the engine. While the benefits from the supplemental HHO are still significant, you can avoid that power drawdown and reap all the benefits of the supplemental hydrogen by operating the Hydrogenator from an independent electrical source, such as a rechargeable battery or multiple battery pack that does not draw its power to generate HHO gas from your vehicle electrical system.
12 volt OptimaŽ Marine deep cycle batteries can be fully recharged for about 25˘ each from a home 110V electrical outlet and a small "smart" 12 volt, 10 to 15 amp portable battery charger. You can save 50 to 100 times the cost of the battery recharge in gasoline or diesel fuel costs from the HHO the Hydrogenator can generate from the battery recharge.

FYI: Deep Cycle batteries are built to withstand repeated deep discharging (down to 10.5 volts) without premature battery failure. This makes them perfect for applications that draw batteries down before they can be fully recharged, -- uses like car audio, trolling motors, marine accessories, RV equipment, and off road winches, etc.. In such applications, one deep cycle battery can last as long as ten conventional batteries.

In addition to SAE top posts the D34M also has 5/16" stainless steel threaded top "wing nut" hookup posts.
In addition to providing extraordinary deep-cycling ability, the D34M OptimaŽ battery also serves as an incredibly powerful starting battery, with huge initial amperage discharge to spin hard-turning motors.

Amp Hours
The Amp Hour (AH) rating tells you how much amperage is available when discharged evenly over a 20 hour period. The amp hour rating is cumulative, so in order to know how many constant amps the battery will output for 20 hours, you have to divide the amp hour rating by 20. Example: If a battery has an amp hour rating of 75, dividing by 20 = 3.75. Such a battery can carry a 3.75 amp load for 20 hours before dropping to 10.5 volts. (10.5 volts is the fully discharged level, at which point the battery needs to be recharged.) A battery with an amp hour rating of 55 will carry a 2.75 amp load for 20 hours before dropping to 10.5 volts.
OptimaŽ Deep Cycle Batteries recharge much more quickly than standard starting batteries.
| OptimaŽ batteries don't require a battery box for acid containment because they don't leak. |
